The Sun Life Financial Philippines Triathlon Team marked their 5th year in Ironman 70.3 in Cebu last August 5, 2018, by the fielding of 13 racers in the prestigious and grandest racing competition, led by Sun Life ambassador Piolo Pascual, T.V. Actor Enchong Dee, and its very own executives.
Cebu has been the home of the IRONMAN 70.3 and the central point of competition is held at the beautiful city of Lapu-lapu, particularly in Shangri-La Mactan Resort and Spa. Since 2012, the Ironman has become one of the prestigious racing competitions in Asia and participated by different personalities including athletes, celebrities, and foreigner racers.
Meet the Sun Life Teams
Piolo Pascual takes the bike race for the relay teams, including Enchong Dee for the swim race and his longtime friend, athlete Toniel Ty for the run.
Sun Life Chief Investments Officer Michael Enriquez is participating the bike race alongside with Sun Life Business Development Manager for Partnership Distribution Toots Manapad and Sun Life Sales Training & Development Head Ged Custodia. The third team is lined up with Jan Chiu, a former national team member, is participating in the swim race together with Sun Life Digital Transformation Specialist Karl Villalonga for the bike race and TBR Sun Life Dream Marathon 2017 top finisher Alfred Diacosa for the run. Also, an all-female team is lined up of elite athletes Bea Grabador for the swim, Laarni de Guzman for the bike, and Charlie Sy for the run).
