The Cebu Brewing Company brings the Cebu’s Best Craft Beer in Cebu Parklane International Hotel during the media launch of “Cheers to Octobeers” last October 10, 2018, at the Executive Lounge of Parklane Cebu.
Mr. Joey Climaco from Cebu Brewing Company introduces the CBC’s crafted beers that inspired from the authenticity of Cebuano culture. During the product presentation, we able to taste the 4 craft beers; the PUSO, PIPA, YA, and BAGSIK.
PUSO (Philippine Rice Pilsen)
The word puso comes from the famous hanging rice of Cebu. The drink has the rich and malty taste that similar to the original recipe of Cebu rice and European Pilsen grains. You can enjoy this drink with Cebu Lechon and different food delicacy of Cebu such guinabot and ngoiong.
PIPA (Philippine India Pale Ale)
The award-winning Indian Pale Ale is now making Pinoy style with coconut sugar. The drink is inspired by the famous Butanding or a whale shark from Oslob, Cebu. Why Buntanding? Because the Bbutanding is similar to Cebuano’s famous traits of being friendly and hospitable. You can pair this drink with the different Cebuano spicy dishes that surely satisfy your taste.
YAWA or Stress Release Mais Beer
Yawa is a common Cebuano expression of being angry and pissed off. This citrusy malty beer will get you to relax quickly from the stressful work environment and heavy traffic. This is the type of craft beer that you can hang out with friends and have good conversations.
BAGSIK (Like A Boss Beer)
The drink was inspired by the strong hero of Cebu, Lapu-lapu. The Bagsik has high alcohol volume, full-bodied, and bitter-ish beer that can give a raw flavor of freshly milled barley and spiked with Cebuano cane sugar and local muscovado. Enjoy this beer with the local sausages, grilled dishes like Sugba, and carabao cheese.
Aside from that, they have MANGGA-J (Ripe Cebu Mango Beer) which has the finest flavor of world-famous Philippine Yello Mango that gives a sweet fragrance and taste and the HALAD (Season Beer Offerings) which made by the brewmasters using the seasonal ingredients
