I’ve been to many places in Cebu and mostly in resorts and hotel. I was wondering for a new place where I can experience the ultimate island adventures that kind of different and level up my adrenaline. So I found Bluewater Sumilon Island Resort in Oslob, Cebu Philippines.

Getaway to Sumilon Island

We finally arrived at the Sumilon Island around 8:30 in the morning and we were amazed by the Pristine white sand beaches and stunning corals beneath the crystal greenish blue sea water around the island.

Aside from that, we experienced the different activities in the resort such as the Island Trail adventure, the Shifting white Sandbar, tour at the Glamping Area and Villas, and Snorkeling at the beach.

The overall experience was great because I enjoyed the delicious food at the Pavilion Restaurant, which I really enticed by the breakfast choices. I also explore the amenities of the Sumilon Island.

The Trekking Experience

Trekking on the island is one of the best adventures that I ever had, but it is the most challenging adventure so far because I have never been to long hours of trekking and Sumilon Island was my first. During our trek activity, we have our map and tour personnel to guide us on the trail. We follow the flags which have different indications or levels. Our trail level was the moderate one which we can climb up to the Lighthouse or “Parola” and explore the view of Marine Sanctuary and stunning island rocks.

The Villa Rooms

We have our tour of the Villa Rooms which I finally explore the sophisticated and elegant bedrooms inside the Villas. The Villa Room is perfect for couples and family because it has an exclusive swimming pool inside and an overlooking seascape for an island vibe feels.

Pavilion Restaurant

I experienced the different breakfast choices at the Pavilion Restaurant. I enticed by the delectable specialties and cuisines such as classic bread and a choice of fillings, morning treats like Pancakes, Bacon and Eggs, Spanish Sardines, Chorizo de Cebu, and Sotanghon and Vegetable Soup.

The Lagoon

Aside from the beach, visitors can experience the different activities in Lagoon area. They can try Kayaking, Pedal Boating, and Fish Feeding. The Lagoon is nearby at the Pulo Restaurant where they can chill and refresh.

Swimming Pools

A spectacular infinity pool can give you an island experience because you can experience the panoramic view of the ocean and the island of Cebu. I had my full relaxation in the Jacuzzi and it was worthy.

The Best Experience at the Bluewater Sumilon Island

Overall, I can say that the Bluewater Sumilon Island Resort is one of a kind place to unwind and relax. Despite all of the busy schedules ahead of me, I still enjoy a great time for adventure and it was great to know about the island. Trekking is one the hardest activity because I need to trek on a rocky trail, but it was worth to explore the beauty of the island.

I rate the Bluewater Sumilon Island Resort as Excellent because it was really great and I had fun with the amenities and activities during our stay. I will visit again to experience the paddle board and fishing at the Lagoon. I won’t forget the good memories and experience that I had at the Bluewater Sumilon Island Resort; a true home for island adventure seekers.
