The guitar is one of the musical instruments that we can see and hear from various music scenes either it is acoustic or concert events. As an avid fan of music, it is my dream to play guitar and I can’t find time to practice due to my personal goals for arts and blogging. This time around, I can give you an idea on how to start your guitar playing journey through an event. I want to introduce the KINABLIT 2019, The 2nd Cebu International Guitar Festival on September 6, 7 & 8, 2019, at Robinsons Galleria & Summit Galleria Hotel. I am very excited as well to share the 5 things to do in Kinablit 2019 once you will be participating in the 3-day event.
The Guitar Foundation of the Philippines, Inc. (GFPI) is proud to present its second edition of the Guitar Festival in Cebu. The Kinablit 2019 is an International Guitar Festival that aims to showcase the different plucking traditions from different countries where the infamous string instruments were made and develop. During the early part of the 20th century, the traditional way of guitar playing used to be more prevalent in Visayan speaking regions in the Philippines. Other than that, Kinablit 2019 will showcase the Flamenco guitar playing in Spain, Bozza Nova in Brazil, Fingerstyle and Chord melody in the United States, and our very own Kinablit in the Philippines.
On September 6-8, 2019, the GFPI will open another rendition of the festival by showcasing different activities that lined up for the event. You can explore different activities such as Recitals, Concerts, Workshops on Classical Guitar Playing and Instrument Making and Assembling, Symposium, Lectures, Outreach, and Exhibits by the organization behind Kinablit 2019.

By supporting this event, you can acknowledge the different variations of guitar playing and it can give you the overall idea about the growing industry of guitar making in the Philippines and the rest of the world. The guitar is one of the foundations of music history and every music that you’ve heard in Spotify or in radio has a guitar behind on it whether it is an acoustic or an electric pop. Growing up with different music genre is the only thing that you can rely on and reminisce the time of growing up. Behind the successful music is a melodic harmony from different musical instruments. Everyone can relate to this event because music touches our hearts by a single string sound that can create a difference. Let’s support local music, so we can grow together and relate to the next generation. Nowadays, people can’t remember how the music industry is really important to the community. I am hoping that the government will continue to raise the music industry, so the future of the guitar industry will continue and give a strong impact and legacy for the country. Music can make history.
